About the Event

In recognition of the responsibilities entrusted to The Federation of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Chambers, the Federation Council decided, during its thirty-eighth meeting held in the State of Kuwait on 27th March 2011, to establish the “Gulf Economic Forum” in order to be a strong platform through which the private sector can communicate its vision and directions in respects of the economic development in the GCC countries, the relentless pursuit towards achieving economic citizenship, and removing the challenges and obstacles to trade exchange among the GCC states, benefiting from the successes achieved by the Gulf economic forums of national and local chambers, which have become a milestone in terms of formation and methods used in choosing topics and themes for speakers, and following up on the implementation of the recommendations that are followed-up by the leaders of the GCC countries.

Forum's objectives:

Strengthening the role of the federation, the federations and the member chambers as representatives of the Gulf private sector.
Opening channels of dialogue and participation between the private sector and official, professional and academic authorities.
Enhancing the sustainability and leadership of the private sector in development and economic integration programs.
Supporting the efforts aimed at strengthening cooperation and integration between the private sector at the level of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Activating the role of the Gulf private sector in addressing vital issues of development such as energy, food security, transportation, and digital transformation.
Investing in human resources, and supporting entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises.
Developing and strengthening the modern technical information industry.
